Dr. Larissa Kelleher received her B.A. in psychology from Rutgers University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Miami University. Her theoretical orientation is integrative, rooted in Interpersonal Process Approach and informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and cognitive-behavioral therapies. She approaches therapy using a multicultural lens with recognition of students’ intersecting identities and the role of power and privilege. She has particular expertise and passion for working with all members of the LGBTQ+ community. She strives to develop a warm, collaborative relationship in therapy in which students can process experiences that influence their current behaviors and patterns, develop new ways of interacting with themselves and others, and empower themselves to make changes in their lives towards their values.
