Amanda holds a BA in Psychology from St. John’s University and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology at Lehigh University, where she earned her M.Ed. in Human Development. Amanda identifies as a queer Latine person. She is committed to cultivating a warm, empathetic space where students feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. In her past clinical work as an extern at a college counseling center, Amanda has guided students through challenges of identity exploration, gender, sexuality, relationships, family dynamics, depression, and anxiety. She adopts a collaborative approach, believing that clients are the experts of their own experiences while providing a safe and non-judgmental space for growth. Rooted in person-centered and relational-cultural frameworks, Amanda’s counseling style emphasizes authenticity, genuine connection, and cultural humility, all aimed at helping clients understand themselves better and make positive changes in their lives.
